5-D Synergy Flow workshops serve as the foundation for Simon’s unique approach to intelligent yoga and movement.
In these workshop, you’ll explore the secrets and science of yoga and unlock the five key dimensions of Simon's system — joints, spine, breath, core, and mind — and learn how to integrate them into one cohesive system that unites strength, flexibility, circulation, and calmness.
Drawing on over 50 years of practice and teaching across yoga, physiotherapy, and traditional movement systems, Simon distills complex principles into simple, experiential learning.
The workshop is intense yet accessible to practitioners of all levels from yoga teachers, therapists, and movers to anyone curious about how to move with less effort and more internal connection.
Each session provides clear theory, practical application, and space for personal exploration within the 5-D Synergy framework.
The workshop is structured as a weekend introduction followed by a 5-day intensive, with the option to attend the weekend only or the full 8 days. For the second part of the workshop (5-Day Intensive) the spaces are limited to only 20 participants, to ensure the high quality of training, and direct access to Simon, giving you time and space to ask and embody the teachings.

This workshop is the culmination of a lifetime of embodied experience.
Simon has taught thousands across the globe and lived through countless health challenges himself. Drawing on the wisdom of teachers from India, China, Tibet, and beyond, this training goes far beyond learning postures—it’s about experiencing yoga as intelligent, healing movement.
Developed over 40 years by physiotherapists Simon Borg-Olivier and Bianca Machliss, the Yoga Synergy Method blends Western medical science with traditional yoga wisdom. Simon studied personally with Sri B.K.S. Iyengar, Sri K. Pattabhi Jois, and Sri T.V.K. Desikachar. The result is a safe, dynamic, meditative flow that thousands worldwide have benefited from. Bianca and Simon have successfully trained teachers globally for over 20 years.

5-Dimensional Flow explores the common origin of all natural movement, from yoga to qigong, martial arts, dance and therapeutic exercises. It centres on the idea that movement, breath, and even emotions originate in the lower abdominal region—the seat of your enteric nervous system (the “gut brain”). By reconnecting with the five main “dimensions” of core and trunk movement, adults can rediscover the natural fluidity often lost in modern life.

You have an option to join for the WEEKEND or for FULL 8-DAYS. If you're looking to dive deep into Simon's teaching, the 8-Day intensive is one of the best options he offers, as it covers his teaching methodology fully. But if you can't attend, even the weekend introduction will give you so much.
Over the week, you’ll immerse yourself in 5-Dimensional Synergy Flow — a system that unites the common roots of yoga, tai chi, qigong, dance, and natural human movement, enriched with modern physiotherapy and exercise-science principles.
Simon combines modern science with traditional yoga to create practices suited to the modern body. Drawing clear bridges between Eastern methods and Western physiology, he explores the evolution of kriyā and the art of prāṇāyāma as practical tools for everyday life — helping you tense less and feel more.
This practice teaches you how to develop strength without tension, flexibility without stretching, and much more. You will learn how to trully restore the harmony between body, breath, and mind.

Yoga Synergy & 5D Flow Implementation
Each day is structured to move from direct experience into clear understanding.
Mornings focus on a deeply meditative practice combining fluid movement, subtle breath work, and internal techniques. These sessions are designed to calm the nervous system, improve circulation, and cultivate internal awareness through efficient, low-effort movement. This is the 5-D Flow Method in action.
Afternoons explore traditional yoga forms — including āsana, prāṇāyāma, and kriyā — through the Yoga Synergy System. Here, the yogic practices are unpacked and integrated using principles of anatomy, biomechanics, physiology, and therapeutic movement, helping you understand why the practices work and how to apply them more effectively and safely.
Throughout the day, practical theory is woven directly into movement, bridging embodied experience with functional understanding.

Simon has worked as a research scientist and a University lecturer. He has been regularly invited to teach about lifestyle, posture, movement, breathing, and meditation at conferences, festivals, and intensive teacher training courses internationally since 1990.
He is also co-director of YogaSynergy, one of Australia’s oldest and most respected yoga schools, which has a style based on a deep understanding of modern medical science and traditional forms of exercise and therapy from all over the world.
He is the sole founder of 5-Dimensional Flow system which draws from the common origin of all movement methods across the world. An intelligent practice that combines all knowledge from a lifetime of Simon's experience in teaching and research.
Currently, Simon conducts intensive training courses in India, Europe, and Australia. He also teaches many online courses on the applications of posture, movement, and breathing for fitness, internal health, wellbeing, and longevity.
Where you’ll practise
This workshop unfolds across two carefully chosen spaces, each supporting a different phase of the training from introduction to deeper, more focused immersion.
The two venues are approximately 15 km apart. Participants attending the full 8-day program should plan accommodation and transport accordingly.
The weekend (Friday evening + weekend) takes place in a spacious, light-filled hall, allowing the group to gather comfortably for the introductory immersion.
First part is designed as a complete and accessible entry point, ideal for those wanting an introduction or for participants beginning the full 8-day journey.
Please note: This venue does not provide yoga mats or props. Participants are asked to bring their own mat and any props they wish to use.
The final four days move into a smaller, dedicated training space, intentionally chosen to support depth, continuity, and focus.
This phase is where the work becomes more detailed and immersive, supporting those continuing into the full intensive.
Yoga mats and all props are provided at this venue.
SPACES LIMITED TO ONLY 20 PARTICIPANTS.
No. The workshop is open to teachers, practitioners, beginners, therapists, and movement professionals.
Many people attend with minor injuries or movement limitations. Practices are adaptable, but this workshop is not a substitute for medical treatment. If unsure, please contact us in advance.
The workshop blends theoretical and interactive lectures with guided movement, breathwork, and visually instructed practices.
The workshop will start with introductory interactive parts emphasising the felt effects in real time. Everything participants experience is explained in theory as well. As the week progresses the teaching utilises visual and intuitive methods during longer movement practices.
Each day follows a consistent rhythm: Morning practice, Midday Q&A and discussion, Afternoon practice.
Please reffer to the detailed schedule for more information.
The practices are adaptable and focus on efficiency rather than effort. You’re encouraged to work within your own capacity. The range of participants vary from 18 - 60 years old.
Comfortable clothing, a notebook if you like to take notes, and a water bottle. Mats and basic props are provided.
This workshop is intentionally split into two parts.
The weekend is an introductory immersion and is open to a larger group, so it’s held in a bigger venue that can comfortably support higher numbers.
The following four days are a deeper intensive training, held in a smaller, more focused space. This allows for greater continuity, concentration, and a more committed learning environment for those joining the full program.
Participants can join just the weekend or continue into the full 7-day intensive, depending on their availability and level of commitment.
Yes, this training is certified. All trainings offered by Simon Borg-Olivier are certified under Yoga Alliance International.
If you’re unable to commit to all 8 days, you’re very welcome to attend the weekend program, which is designed as a complete and accessible introduction to Simon's teaching methodology.

This free masterclass introduces the core principles behind Simon Borg-Olivier’s teaching — combining traditional yogic methods with modern anatomy, physiology, and biomechanics. It offers a practical, embodied insight into how 5-Dimensional Flow creates movement that is meditative, efficient, and deeply supportive of long-term health.
It’s important to note that this masterclass represents only one aspect of Simon’s work. In the workshop and live trainings, these principles are further integrated into traditional yoga practices, including āsana, prāṇāyāma, kriyā, meditation, and teaching methodology — supported by anatomy, biomechanics, physiology, and therapeutic insight.
