This video has four versions of spinal movements practice, which you may follow if you wish.
Version 1: Spinal Movements Using Postures of Modern Yoga with Breath Cues
Version 2: Deep Squatting Spinal Movements in Standing with Breath Cues
Version 3: Simple Spinal Movements in Standing with Breath Cues
Version 4: Deep Squatting Spinal Movements in Standing with no Breath Cues
This complete practice sequence is not generally suitable for beginners but gives a good impression of how the movements of the spine go and what is their effect on breathing.
In Version 1 of this practice, I show how the spinal movements can be done in many modern yoga postures and how they relate to the simple spinal movements that I offer.
In Version 2 of this practice, I show deep squatting spinal movements that you need to be careful with your knees for while practising.
Version 3 of this practice shows simple spinal movements that are suitable for beginners, especially if you ignore the breath cues. If you observe the breath cues then breathe as little as you can without forcing to avoid dizziness and to gather energy in the practice.
If you are a beginner, it is best to only do the simple spinal movements and not force the breath all. Just breathe naturally. Perhaps do not even attempt the versions on the floor unless you are very experienced with both your body and the spinal movements in general.
